It worked for my application
I have Lightech rearsets on my 2017 GSXR 1000 and the rearsets left the elbow that is on the rear brake master cylinder vulnerable to damage due to hitting it with my heel while riding. I did not ride the bike until installing this to protect the elbow. Maybe you can get away without it on the street but not on the track. This is a huge oversight on the part of Lightech. Instead of making something, I simply purchased this, it fits and works perfectly. I should have bought the Woodcraft rearsets to begin with.

When I got my gixxer 1000 it didn't have a heal guard on the right side. I ordered this one and it look great with my WC resrsets. However when on the track unlike the left one you can't get your heel on top of it because it sits so high. I know the master cylinder is there but if you want to put your heel just behind it it blocks you there. I've ended up dragging my toe a lot. Someone with a different position or foot size may not experience this. Good quality and nice finish.
